It’s also a tragedy. It is not, when one thinks hard about it, very funny. WebMommie Dearest (1981) is worth a watch. Although this movie is considered biographical and is based on a book, there are some genuinely disturbing moments that occur. Faye Dunaway is actually pretty fantastic as Joan Crawford, despite some describing the portrayal as “campy” and “overacted”.
